About

Founded in 1984, the Bull Run Cloggers, Inc. has welcomed generations of dancers who proudly remain part of our ever-growing clogging family. Built on friendship, tradition, and a love of dance, the group continues to preserve, promote, and share the joy of Appalachian clogging.

History

On April 30, 2026, the Bull Run Cloggers experienced a truly unforgettable and historic moment. At the request of King Charles III for Appalachian clogging during the Royal Block Party in Front Royal, Virginia, we had the distinct honor of sharing this treasured American folk tradition with Their Majesties while introducing clogging to a global audience. Representing cloggers on such an extraordinary stage is a memory we will forever hold close to our hearts.

Throughout our history, the Bull Run Cloggers have been blessed with opportunities to create cherished memories while sharing the rhythm and tradition of Appalachian clogging with audiences near and far. In 1995 and 1999, the group performed at Walt Disney World - experiences filled with excitement, pride, and lifelong memories. We have proudly participated twice in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C., celebrated our nation’s spirit at Statler Brothers Fourth of July celebrations, and participated in the 1996 Olympic Torch Run in Dale City, Virginia.

For many years, one of our most treasured traditions was closing out the holiday season with performances at the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. Closer to home, we continue to share the joy of clogging at fairs, festivals, and community celebrations throughout Northern Virginia, including the Joe Gibbs Country Fair & Auction, the Prince William County Fair, the Manassas Heritage Railway Festival, and the annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade.

Among the performances that remain especially meaningful to us was our participation in the Beethoven Found Tribute to the Wounded Warrior, honoring and supporting our injured service members, veterans, and their families.
